This Memorial Day, #WeRemember

Join DVNF in honoring veterans you know for the upcoming Memorial Day Holiday.

In honor of the upcoming Memorial Day Holiday,  DVNF wants you to join our campaign to honor the veterans that are close to you!

Here’s how it works: send a photo of one of your loved ones who served in the military (in uniform would be great!). Send it to, or send it in a Facebook message with a little background on who is in the picture, when they served, and your interesting, inspirational tidbits about them. Then, just email or post in a message to Facebook. We will publish the most inspiring entries in their honor on our blog, on Facebook and on

We are making a digital scrapbook on Facebook, and will tweet some of the entries as well. This will be a great way to give a little bit of insight into the service of veterans, and how many families are military families…

2013 Capitol Nutrition Pets for Vets 5K Run

What a great day for a 5K Run! Hundreds of runners and walkers came out to support Pets for Vets on Saturday, May 10 at Centennial Park in Orland Park, IL. Capitol Nutrition did a fantastic job organizing this very worthwhile annual event. There were entire families participating together, alongside couples, friends, and singles. Once they crossed the finish line they were met with much fanfare. Volunteers provided them with water, bananas, muffins, cookies and even dog treats to take home to their very own pets. When the last of the runners made it across the finish line, medals and prizes were rewarded. Pets for Vets provided a gift basket filled with pet-related items and books. We want to thank everyone for coming out and for your amazing support.
